Hi - it's wonderful to meet you! I am excited to work with you and appreciate you taking the time to review Magnolia Wellness as a coaching option. I understand how much courage it may take to seek help - as I have neglected my anxiety and depression due to fear and stigmatization in the past and felt its impact.
The aim of this practice is to use coaching techniques, psychoeducation, and behavioral pattern recognition to aid you in achieving your goals and enhancing your overall wellness. I hope to improve your confidence, ability to achieve your goals, and overall wellness throughout our journey together. In addition to our coaching sessions, you'll also have access to a number of resources to aid in your overall wellness goals.
Magnolia Wellness is a telehealth-first coaching practice. I focus on using telehealth as a platform because I feel it provides greater continuity of care overall and helps establish more equitable access to care.
As for a little about myself, I studied psychology and child and family development at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and am currently enrolled at Wake Forest University working towards my licensure in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC). I have worked in a number of telehealth practices in the industry as a coach and paraprofessional for almost 6 years.
Through my training and formal education, I use psychoeducation in the forms of grounding and mindfulness to help clients manage symptoms; furthermore, I am very active in encouraging goal setting and creating a maintainable structure for clients.
On a personal note, I am a first-generation Ukrainian-American and grew up in a large family. As a teenager, I often struggled with my identity as both Ukrainian and American, as the cultures are vastly different. As such, I understand that both our experiences and our culture play a significant role in how we manage stressors and our personal development. I believe that every person deserves personalized treatment based on their individual needs, cultural background, and current place in life.
"Mental Health problems don't define who you are. They are something you experience. You walk in the rain and you feel the rain, but, importantly, YOU ARE NOT THE RAIN."
